American Occupational Therapy Association

The American Occupational Therapy Association is the national professional association of occupational therapy practitioners and students of occupational therapy. AOTA advances the quality, availability, use, and support of occupational therapy through standard-setting, advocacy, education, and research on behalf of its members and the public. The association has 85 full-time staff, 38,000 members and an annual budget of $16,500,000.

AOTA was introduced to the Anybill system by its accounting firm in 2004. Adoption of Anybill's software and services has enabled the association to save money by eliminating a full time AP staff position. The association also saves staff time by giving its more than fifty end-users extraordinarily broad access to the invoice approval process from any location, at any time. AOTA payees—particularly volunteer leaders being reimbursed for travel expenses—benefit from AOTA's ability to make direct deposits without delay.
